Pouzilhac

Pouzilhac is on the northern limit of the community, located on the former Roman road between Nîmes and Albas (Ardèche).
Bathed in light, nestling amidst the garrigue, this is a typical Languedoc village which has been inhabited since ancient times. The Romans left many signs of their presence here.
It is a rural village and the economic activity is mainly agricultural, notably wine making.

Sightseeing:

- 12th century tower and ramparts,
- 19th century church: Latin funeral inscription on the wall,
- Restored monuments,
- Remains of fortifications.

Don't miss:

- 14th century fort, modified in the 18th century,
- The La Méjade quarter, to the west of the village where most of the commune's gardens are located. Each garden has a well.
